Labor Day - the holiday we celebrate as the end of summer and a break for workers. This holiday has bee present since 1882 in our country. I cannot help but wonder if our teens know much about the origin of this holiday. I think most of our teens see this holiday as a time to have fun before the hard work of the school year starts. And labor day was meant as a time for relaxation and fun. So I think you should encourage your teen to use the holiday for the purpose for which it was intended! But also spend a little time talking with your teen about the importance of work. Learning how to balance work with pleasure is an important lesson for our teens to learn.
