Debra, this is such a loaded topic for parents. I glad you have looked at the emotional impact of both these conversations for both the parents and the teen but also the ramifications emotionally for teens having sexual relationships early. Thanks. Sherri

Teens today are getting younger and more curious about sex and its becoming a huge issue. This post is very informative on the emotional side of teens having sex at such an early age. Every parent i have talked to is having this very same issue and im glad you posted this article. Keep them coming.

Dan and Sherri,
Thanks for your comments. Both of you indicate that you see this as a big issue for teens and their parents. Dan I think you have really identified the issue - teens are becoming curious at a younger age and because of this they are even less equipped than teens a generation ago to deal with this. We will keep looking at this issue - thanks for your comments.

The physical act is loaded with emotional baggage. Unfortunately, the moment of "pleasure" is far exceeded by the long-term effects: future relationships, current self-esteem, disease. Great place to present the most heavy of all of them: the emotional aspect. Keep up the good work.
