Sherri and I have been talking about a number of topics related to the holiday season. Sherri last wrote about acts of service and the importance of helping your teen find a way to volunteer to help others over the holiday season.
Your teen is probably focused on fun, parties, and time off from school. Holiday happenings are everywhere and will be for the next three weeks. This is the time of the year when the focus can be on just having a good time. And having a good time with your teen is important!
Activities can cause all of us to focus on the "busyness" of the season and lead us to not spend much time really enjoying our family and friends. Ways to avoid this "busyness" trap include volunteering and making time for people who are important to us. I encourage you to spend time with your teen in a positive way - which might include volunteering with your teen!
Happy Holiday Happenings
