Monday Dr. Debra wrote about kid's mistakes. Kids will make mistakes and I agree that we should help them find a plan of action that will work better the next time. There is another part to this. Sometimes kids will simply apologize for a mistake. This is certainly a nice and good thing. But "I'm sorry" is not always an acceptance of responsibility. As you work through a process with your teenager you want some idea of what the plan is to out the new action into play in the future. This helps them learn taking responsibility for their actions in the future. Sherri
